About
The Thomas family planted Greystone vineyard in 2000 on the rolling limestone and clay hills of the Waipara Valley, North Canterbury. Farmed organically using regenerative principles, the north-facing slopes provide an ideal environment for growing grapes with notable minerality and a rich concentration, which are beautifully expressed in the wines produced at Greystone. Focusing on gentle and minimal intervention winemaking, Greystone has many accolades, including Organic Winery of the Year, twice winning the Decanter trophy for best Pinot Noir, and Dom Maxwell named NZ Winemaker of the Year.
